Maple and beer-braised ham

Ingredients

  • 1 Irresistibles Artisan semi boneless smoked half ham
  • 1 can (355 mL) brown ale
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 125 mL (1/2 cup) Irresistibles maple syrup
  • 5 mL (1 teaspoon) Irresistibles cumin seeds
  • Pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Remove the netting from the ham and rinse under warm water for 1 minute. Place the ham in the slow cooker.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and cook in the slow cooker on medium for 6 hours.
  3. While it cooks, baste the ham with the cooking juices a few times.
  4. Cut into slices or large pieces and serve with your sides.
