Pecan, Apple and Caramel Squares

Ingredients
- 250 ml (1 cup) Selection all-purpose flour
- 250 ml (1 cup) Selection Graham crumbs
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) brown sugar
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) Selection butter, cut into cubes
- 2 x 100 g bags of Selection pecan halves
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) brown sugar
- 160 ml (2/3 cup) Selection butter
- 375 ml (1 1/2 cups) Selection dried apples, cut into pieces of about 1.5 cm (0.5 in)
- 250 ml (1 cup) Selection semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, Graham crumbs, brown sugar and butter cubes with a fork. The preparation must become homogenous and grainy.
- Spread and press the preparation into a 23 x 33 cm (9 x 13 in) pan covered with parchment paper.
- Sprinkle pecans on the preparation.
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
- In a saucepan, bring the brown sugar and butter to a boil and let simmer for a minute.
- Pour the warm preparation on the pecans.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Right out of the oven, garnish with apple pieces and finish with the chocolate chips.
- Let stand in the refrigerator until everything is set, then cut it into squares.
